South Kent School - 2016 exchange project
During the exchange programme which took place in April 2016 a group of students from our school worked together with the students from the partner American high school on a project during which they made their foreign friends familiar with their country, city and school. The visiting Czech students first gave a presentation through which they introduced their homeland, the city where their school is located and the school itself. Following this activity they cooperated with the hosts and compared the facts related to their own country, city and school to those regarding the hosting institution. They focused not only on geogrpahical facts - location, area, etc., but also on important historic events and interesting cultural and architecture features. In the section dealing with the schools they examined the similarities and differences in study area, schedule and subjects, exam types, etc. After returning they also passed on the gained knowledge to their younger fellow students at the Project Day.
Both the exchange stay as well as working in an international team have been a precious experience for our students. They will be able to make use of them in their future studies and later on in their professional carrer.
More information on the exchange itself is available in the article "Our students take part in an exchange"
